  1. Mortimer Constantine tells about the family

Mortimer Constantine tells about the family (July 2008) "I was born in 1936 November 30th at 6652 Papineau, between Beaubien and St Zotique. I am the only child of Tillie Fishman and Ben Constantine. My parents were divorced when I was one year old. I lived with my mother and Grandfather, and grandmother at 6652 Papineau. The name of my grandfather is Noah Avrum Fishman. He came to Canada from a small villiage near Kiev. He was a furrier by trade, and was also the Cantor at the White Shul. I attended Amherst Public School from grade one until grade 4. This school was on Papineau, on the east side between St. Zotique and Belanger. Some other people who lived in Papineau are Seymour Reimer who is a successful insurance broker. Leibovitch who lived on Papineau, about 100 yards south of me. Rabbi Chaim Denember, his father and brother, lived near the Red Schul. The father Denemberg was a coal merchant." [Denberg]
